2026 Summer Intensive
DIABLO BALLET’S 2026 SUMMER INTENSIVE
Diablo Ballet School will offer a four-week Summer Intensive in our brand-new studios in Walnut Creek!
July 6 – 31, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Diablo Ballet School’s Summer Intensive allows students the opportunity to train at a professional level while staying close to home. Class size will be limited. The intensive consists of two levels: Intermediate and Advanced. Advanced female students must have at least two years of pointe training. Acceptance to Diablo Ballet School’s Summer Intensive is by audition only. The intensive will take place at Diablo Ballet’s studios in Walnut Creek.
Designed to broaden the perspective of serious ballet students through the exposure to a wide variety of disciplines, the program includes an exciting variety of daily ballet technique and pointe or pre-pointe class, with additional classes that may include:
Pas de deux
Variations
Repertoire
Character & Flamenco
Contemporary
Musical theatre
Dance history
Nutrition
Injury prevention
Pilates
Conditioning
Students will receive training by Diablo Ballet’s professional dancers, Diablo Ballet School Faculty and world – renowned guest instructors dedicated to the learning process and growth of each individual student in a healthy and welcoming environment.
SCHEDULE
Training will be July 6 – 31, Monday through Friday from 10 – 3:30 pm each day. Students will be placed in two levels – Advanced or Intermediate on the first day of the Intensive.
Classes will take place at our new studios: Diablo Ballet Center for Dance at 490 N. Wiget Lane in Walnut Creek.
REGISTRATION
Acceptance to Diablo Ballet School’s Summer Intensive is by audition only. Auditions can be done in person or by video submission. Please follow the directions below. Registration will open March 6, 2026, but please note space will be limited. A $200 deposit will be charged to your credit card on file when registration is received to secure placement.
TUITION
The cost to attend is $1600 for the full 4 week program if you register before March 27. If received on or after March 28, the price is $1700. There is a $50 registration fee for students who are not currently enrolled in Diablo Ballet School and a 10% discount will be included for multiple students within one family. We encourage students to take all 4 weeks, but students may take 3 weeks of the intensive for $1350, 2 weeks for $950, or 1 week for $500. In order to secure your place in the program, a non refundable deposit of $200 is due at registration, with the final payment due June 5. Payment plans will be accepted. Registration
AUDITIONS
Audition registration is open! Acceptance into our Summer Intensive Program is by audition only. Auditions are open to dancers of all genders who have achieved intermediate or advanced levels of ballet training. An audition can be submitted via video below or a student may take a placement class at the school. Please email school@diabloballet.org.
VIDEO AUDITIONS
Students may submit a video audition. The video audition fee is $45. Video applications will be accepted through May 29, 2026 or until the Intensive is full.
To submit a video audition, please fill out our audition form and pay the $45 video submission fee below in order for your audition to be considered. Once received, we will review and notify you of your acceptance.
Submit a video (no longer than 5 mins) of Barre and Centre work to school@diabloballet.org.
Video to include the following elements:
BARRE please include: Pliés in 1st, 2nd and 5th, tendus, dégages, rond de jambes par terre, frappe, brief adagio, grande battements
CENTER please include: Adagio, small jumps and a pirouette combination.
POINTE (if applicable) please include: Relevés in 1st & 2nd, sous sou, échappés & passé
