Adult Open Division (ages 13+)

Summer Classes offered:

Please note: For the month of July, Adult Open Intermediate on Tuesday and Thursday mornings will be from 9 – 10:30 am.

Adult Open Intermediate Ballet
Sundays from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm taught by Luis Gonzalez
Tuesdays from 9 am – 10:30 am taught by Esther Cardona 
Thursdays from 9 am – 10:30 am taught by Esther Cardona 
This class is suitable for the dancer (13 & up) who have had previous ballet training. Attention is paid to proper body alignment, use of the legs and feet, and developing movement sequences through coordination of the arms and head. Barre and center will be taught. $20 per class.

Adult Open Intermediate Variations 
Sundays from 12:00 – 12:45 pm taught by Luis Gonzalez
Continue your training with a weekly Variations class immediately following the Adult Open Intermediate class. Students will be taught variations from different ballets focusing on performance and artistry. Students must take the Adult Open Intermediate class to participate. A separate fee applies – $12 per class.

Adult Beginning Ballet
Sundays from 11:45 am – 1:15 pm taught by Andrea Gaudet
Thursdays from 6:45 pm – 8:15 pm taught by Andrea Gaudet 
Want to try ballet? Or maybe you haven’t taken a class for years and want to get back into it? Come join us for this beginning ballet class and explore new movement vocabulary while reinforcing the basics at a slower pace to ensure the development of proper technique and strength. Taught by DBS Principal, Andrea Gaudet and suitable for ages 13 and up.  $20 per class.

Registration

Online registration is available below and open to all adults. A one-time registration fee of $40 will be required for all new students to secure your place in the class for the entire duration of the year.  If you’d like to try the class before registering, please email school@diabloballet.org. If you are currently taking the adult ballet classes, you will automatically be enrolled in the next session.

Adult Ballet Tuition

Adult Ballet is $20 per class. You can drop in and pay by cash, credit card or punch card. Punch cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Dress Code

While there is no set dress code for the Adult Open Division classes, the following is suggested:
Ladies: Students are encouraged to wear a comfortable leotard, ballet tights and ballet shoes. Yoga wear (long pants and fitted top) is an acceptable alternative to the standard ballet attire suggested above.

Men: Students are encouraged to wear men’s black dance tights, dance t-shirt and black ballet shoes. Yoga wear (long pants and fitted top) is an acceptable alternative to the standard ballet attire suggested above.
