Join Diablo Ballet for its 33rd Season of bringing the Power of Dance to the Lesher Center of the Arts! Diablo Ballet’s 2026-27 Season kicks off this November, make your holiday merry and bright with the newly expanded two act The Nutcracker Suite by Julia Adam.
In February, features Julia Adam’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a playful ballet inspired by William Shakespeare, where fairies, sprites, and young lovers get tangled in magical adventures. The program also includes George Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie, which dazzles with exciting dancing set to Mikhail Glinka’s sweeping melodies; and a reprise of Paul Taylor’s Company B, which brings high-energy jazz and jitterbug to life with the iconic music of the Andrews Sisters!
In March, the highly anticipated world premiere of Carmen, by Brian Enos, set to the iconic score, is a lively and dramatic ballet that tells the story of a strong-willed woman named Carmen who values her independence and follows her heart.
In May, Internationally renowned choreographer Val Caniparoli brings a beloved fairy tale to life, Red Riding Hood, a thrilling ballet inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. Drawing from Charles Perrault’s classic story, this new work blends charm, suspense, and timeless lessons about trust and courage. Also included is Gerald Arpino’s beautiful Reflections, a neoclassical, pure dance ballet complete with high lifts, a flying pace, and classic beauty!
Performances will be at the Lesher Center for the Arts. Season Subscriptions are available now. Single tickets will go on sale September 2026.
The Nutcracker Suite

Choreographer Julia Adam’s The Nutcracker Suite offers a charming reimagining of the beloved holiday classic. Clara and her family are swept into a magical world of enchantment—where the Sugar Plum Fairy reigns, the mischievous Mouse King lurks, and snow falls in a breathtaking on-stage dream. With dazzling choreography and exquisite costumes, this festive production glows with warmth, whimsy, and holiday magic for audiences of all ages.

This brand-new ballet features the iconic music from Carmen, one of the most frequently performed operas in the world.
