Diablo Ballet celebrates its 26th Anniversary performance with the full length story book ballet, Coppélia, March 20 – 21, 2020 at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Immediately following the March 21, 6:00 pm performance, the celebration of our 26th Anniversary continues with a gala dinner with the dancers, in the Garden at Scott’s Seafood in Walnut Creek (within walking distance from the Lesher Center). Considered one of the best-loved classical ballets, this charming, lighthearted, romantic comedy in three acts staged by Artistic Director, Lauren Jonas, and company Regisseur, Joanna Berman, features a brash young protagonist, a doll that comes to life, and a dash of magic. Perfect for all ages, Coppélia will be accompanied live by the Diablo Symphony Orchestra under Music Director and Conductor, Matilda Hofman.
