In light of the growing concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have just received word from the Lesher Center for the Arts that they are cancelling all performances through March 25th. This will include our performances of Coppélia. Here is a link to their statement. If you purchased tickets to our performances, the Lesher Center is in the process of contacting all ticket holders to either exchange for a future performance, refund or to donate the tickets back to Diablo Ballet.

Diablo Ballet celebrates its 26th Anniversary with the full length story book ballet, Coppélia, March 20 – 21, 2020 at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Immediately following the March 21, 6:00 pm performance, the celebration of our 26th Anniversary continues with a gala dinner with the dancers, in the Garden at Scott’s Seafood in Walnut Creek (within walking distance from the Lesher Center). Considered one of the best-loved classical ballets, this charming, lighthearted, romantic comedy staged by Artistic Director, Lauren Jonas and choreographer, Sean Kelly, features a brash young protagonist, a doll that comes to life, and a dash of magic. Perfect for all ages, Coppélia will feature Diablo Ballet School’s Training Program (Levels 2 – 5) students and will be accompanied live by the Diablo Symphony Orchestra under Music Director and Conductor, Matilda Hofman.

Running time: 1 hour and 50 mins with one intermission.
